A1 The goal of MOK is encompassed within a manufacturing philosophy, in its broad sense, that is applicable to not only to manufacturing industry, but also to other industries and business as well. It is a series of activities which add value, through innovative ideas and new ways of thinking, applied to today’s Japanese manufacturing technologies, with the goal of providing products and services to meet the needs of today’s customers. Exceptional planning, design and development will result in unique quality, fuction and price ranges that satisfies the customers demand

A1) 製造・サービス業を問わず、全ての業務に応用が可能な広義のものづくり思想で、日本式ものづくりの考え方や発想・技術により、顧客が満足する 技能・品質・価格などを備えたモノやサービスを提供するために企画・開発・設計し、生産・購買・販売といった付加価値を加える一連のユニバーサル活動理解できる、ものづくり人材を育成することです。

A3) There are no specific conditions or requirements set forth for taking MOK. Domestic and overseas students as well as working professionals can take MOK.

A3)　受検するための条件は特に設定しておりません。国内外の学生でも社会人でも受検できます。
　

Q4) What are the levels of MOK? How are they evaluated?

A4)　MOK consists of two levels, namely the Fundamental Level and the Applied Level. Test results are evaluated using the point system. The perfect score for the Fundamental Level is 500 points and for the Applied Level, 700 points. However, the perfect score is subject to change.

Q4)　MNKの検定の種類と評価方法はどのようになっていますか。

A4)　検定は基礎編（Fundamental）と応用編（Advanced）の2つから構成されます。
　　 検定結果は点数（スコア）によって示されます。 満点スコアは基礎編 500点、応用編 700点（予定）です。

Q5)　How many questions does MOK test consist of and what is the length of time of MOK test?

A5)　The test consists of two parts, Reading Comprehension and Listening Comprehension for both Fundamental and Applied Level, as described below. The former has 50 questions and the test lasts for 50 minutes for Fundamental Level, while the later has 10 questions and the test lasts for 20 minutes for Applied Level.

NB1: After taking a test, an examinee records a 1 minutes self-appeal video and posts it on the specified website in order to secure extra points on the test.

Q6)　What is the scope of possible test questions at Fundamental Level as well as at Applied Level of MOK?

A6)　The scope of possible questions of MOK covers the items directly or indirectly related to QCD (quality, cost and delivery) that forms the basics of manufacturing. At the Fundamental Level, preparatory learning is possible by viewing e-learning video lectures.

A6)　MNKの出題範囲は、ものづくりの基礎であるQCD(品質、コスト、納期）に関する事項とそれに直接・間接に関連する事項です。
　　 基礎編はeラーニング動画講座を視聴することで事前学習ができます。

Q7)　We are planning to take the test as a group within our school. Is it possible to have a test on a trial basis, prior to the actual testing, for free of charge ?

A7)　Yes, it is possible. First, please register and obtain an ID. Then, please send an e-mail of requesting free trial to the following address　info@monoken.org

Q8)　How does MOK conduct an evaluation of applicant ability? In what form the assessment of ability is conducted by MOK?

A8)　MOK evaluates speaking, listening and reading abilities by the means of assessing three capabilities, which are reading comprehension, listending comprehension, and one minutes self-appeal video.

Q8)　MNKの能力の測定はどのような形式で実施されるのでしょうか。

A8)　MNKの形式は「読解方式」と「聴解方式」と「一分間自己PRスピーチ」の3つの能力を判定することにより「読む」ことと「聴く」ことのほかに「話す」ことの測定が可能となります。

Q9)　After taking an MOK test, is a certificate with the score issued to the examinee?

A9)　Yes, after taking the test, the “Certificate of Score” is issued with the obtained score recorded on it. Each MOK examinee, after taking a test, can view the result on respective My Page that shows her/his own Certificate of Score. (It can be printed out by downloading it to a PC.)

Q9)　MNK受検後、取得スコアの認定証明書は発行されますか。

A9)　はい、受検後に取得スコアが記載された「SCORE認定証」が発行されます。MNK受検者に対し検定終了後、各受検者のマイページで結果を閲覧でき、自分のSCORE認定証を表示できます。（パソコンにダウンロードして印刷も可能）

Q10)　After the test, a self-appealing video of less than 1 min long is to be posted. What are the implications for the examinee?

A10)　MOK is designed in such a way that, in addition to Group Testing, an examinee can take an individual test. In order to enhance the reliability of MOK testing and fulfill the requirement of possessing readiness for immediate contribution to work, oral testing (speaking) has been introduced.

Q10)　検定後に一分間以内の自己PR動画を投稿することが必要ですが、それは受検生にどの様な効果がありますか。

A10)　MNKは団体検定のほかに、原則的に個人でも受検できるように設計されていますが、検定評価の信頼性を高めるとともに、即戦力が求められているため、オーラルテスト（スピーキング）を導入しています。

Q11)　In what manner can MOK be taken?

A11)　MOK testing is conducted by utilizing online testing system, i.e. ,CBT: Computer Based Testing and an examinee can take a test at any time and from anywhere via internet by the use of his/ her smart phone, tablet or PC.

A11)　MNKの検定実施はオンラインによるCBT(Computer Based Testing）で行い、受検者はスマートフォンやタブレット、パソコンからインターネット経由で、いつでも、どこからでも受検することができます。

Q12)　MOK’s learning materials or test questions are provided in English. Do you plan to translate them into other languages, for instance Chinese?

A12)　For other languages, they will be added gradually when demand is high enough.

A12)　他の言語についてはニーズを確認しつつ、順次追加して参ります。

Q13)　Is there a way for prior learning/ training before taking a MOK test?

A13)　The organizer of MOK, Monozukuri Nihongo Kentei Kyokai (MNKK), provides e-learning video lectures in order for examinees to prepare for the test. Currently, 12 lecture videos for the Fundamental Level are available and those who have completed ID registration can view them at any time and as many times as they wish, free of charge.

Q13)　MNK受検前の事前学習・トレーニングの方法はありますか。

A13)　MNKの主催団体である一般社団法人ものづくり日本語検定協会（MNKK)ではMNK受検者のため事前に学習用として、eラーニング動画講座を提供しております。現在は基礎編12講義の動画をWebサイト経由で、ID登録された方はいつでも、何回でも無料で視聴できます。

Q14)　Do you provide any other prior learning materials in addition to lecture videos?

A14)　Yes, we also provide other materials such as videos for learning good manners and the technical glossary.

A14)　マナーを学ぶための動画や用語集などが用意されています。

Q15)　Is there a reference text book for examinees?

A15)　There is a lecture text book for the Fundamental Level. The lecture text book for the Applied Level is planned to be completed in 2020.

Q15)　MNK受検者のための参考テキストはありますか。

A15)　基礎編の講座テキストはございます。また応用編のテキストは2020年中に完成予定です。

Q16)　In what circumstances can MOK be taken?

A16)　Group Testing may be taken by students at university/ an educational institution. Also, employees in a factory setting, or applicable employees may take a MOK test. Individual Testing is also possible. Please refer to Q17 for Group Testing.

Q16)　MNKはどのような形での受検が可能でしょうか。

A16)　大学や教育機関内の学生や企業内／工場内で該当する社員／スタッフ全員に受検させたい場合は団体受検が適当です。また個人受検も可能です。団体受検についてはQ17をご覧ください。

Q17)　If company wishes to allow all eligible employees to take a test, can they take Group Testing?

A17)　Yes, MOK has the mechanism of Group Testing in order to accommodate such cases where multiple persons wish to take a test as a group, like a company or a department as a whole. Please prepare an application in accordance with the following steps.

１）The person representing the group is requested to submit ID registration of herself or himself at the following website.
http://monoken.monoken.org/systemAdmin/register

２）After registration, an e-mail concerning registration.is sent to the representative person from the Secretariat.

３）When receiving the e-mail, please log in by using the registered ID and the password.

４）After logging in, please register required data of each examinee.

NB: Examinees’ data can be registered collectively with a csv file.

５）After registration and taking a MOK test, the representative person can check the test results of registered examinees. 　　NB1：Please note that group exams are all held on a fixed date.

Q17)　社内で該当する社員全員に受検させたい場合に、団体受検はできますでしょうか。

A17)　MNKは会社全体や部署単位など複数の方がまとめて受検されたい場合のために団体受検の仕組みがあります。以下の手順でお申込みください。
　　１）とりまとめの方が以下のサイトにて、ご本人のIDを登録してください。

　　２）登録後に、事務局より登録に関するメールが送信されます。
　　３）メールが届きましたら、登録時のIDとパスワードを使いログインします。
　　４）ログイン後、各受検者のデータを登録いたします。
　　　　※受検者のデータはcsvファイルで一括登録できるようになっています。
　　５）登録後、MOKの受検が終わりましたら、とりまとめの方が登録した受検者の成績を確認することができます。
　　※団体試験は実施日が全員固定となりますので、ご注意ください。

A18)　In order to facilitate the safer and more pleasant use by our clients, the following settings for cyber environment is recommended.
